Roll Call is WR-Games’ automatic attendance reconfirmation system. Instead of relying on RSVPs made days or weeks in advance, Roll Call reaches out to every Going attendee shortly before the event and asks them to confirm they’re still coming — giving organizers a live, accurate headcount before anyone sets up a single game.

How Roll Call Works

Four hours before your event starts, every attendee who has RSVP’d as Going receives a reconfirmation prompt. Attendees tap to confirm, and a green checkmark appears next to their name on the attendee list. Organizers can watch confirmations come in from the event dashboard in real time, so you always know who to expect at the table.

Roll Call Modes

WR-Games offers two Roll Call modes depending on your plan:
ModePlanDelivery
Standard Roll CallFreeIn-app notification
Advanced Roll Call with SMSStandard+In-app notification + text message to your verified phone number
Standard Roll Call covers members who have the app open or push notifications enabled. Advanced Roll Call adds an SMS fallback so the prompt reaches attendees even if they haven’t opened the app recently — significantly improving your confirmation rate.
Roll Call goes out automatically 4 hours before each event. You cannot trigger it early or send it manually — the timing is fixed to keep the reconfirmation as relevant as possible.

For Attendees: How to Confirm Your Attendance

When Roll Call arrives, confirming takes only a moment.
1

Receive your Roll Call prompt

Four hours before the event, you’ll get an in-app notification (and an SMS if you’re on a Standard+ plan with a verified phone number). Open the prompt from either channel.
2

Tap Confirm

Press Confirm to let the organizer know you’re on your way. A green checkmark will appear beside your name on the event’s attendee list.
3

Can't make it? Update your RSVP

If your plans changed, don’t ignore the prompt — update your RSVP to Not Going instead. This keeps the organizer’s headcount accurate and protects your Trust Score.
To make sure you never miss an SMS prompt, go to Settings → Notifications and enable SMS Roll Call. You’ll need a verified phone number on your account. Standard+ plan required.

For Organizers: Reading the Confirmed List

Once Roll Call goes out, your event dashboard shows a live breakdown of responses.

Confirmed ✅

Attendees who tapped Confirm show a green checkmark. These are your most reliable headcount — plan your table setups around this group.

No Response

Attendees who received the prompt but haven’t confirmed yet. They’re still Going but haven’t reaffirmed — follow up or plan conservatively.
Use the confirmed list to finalise table assignments in On The Table, arrange seating, and decide how many copies of a game you’ll need in play at once. The list updates live, so you can check it right up until doors open.

Roll Call and Your Trust Score

Your Trust Score reflects how reliably you follow through on commitments to the WR-Games community. Roll Call adds an important layer to that tracking.
Confirming via Roll Call and then not attending the event counts as a no-show on your record — and carries a larger Trust Score impact than a standard unconfirmed absence. Only confirm if you genuinely plan to attend. If something comes up after you confirm, update your RSVP as soon as possible.
Consistently confirming and attending boosts your reputation as a reliable community member, making other players more likely to save you a seat at their tables.

SMS Roll Call Opt-In and Opt-Out

SMS Roll Call is off by default. To manage your preference:
1

Open Settings

Tap your profile icon and select Settings.
2

Go to Notifications

Select the Notifications tab.
3

Toggle SMS Roll Call

Switch SMS Roll Call on to receive text message prompts, or off to receive in-app prompts only. Changes take effect immediately.
SMS Roll Call requires a verified phone number on your account. If you haven’t added one yet, go to Settings → Account → Phone Number and complete verification. Until your number is verified, Roll Call prompts will be delivered in-app only, even on Standard+ plans.
