Your WR-Games profile is your public identity on the platform — it’s what other players, group organizers, and event hosts see when they look you up. Keeping it complete helps others recognize you, trust you, and find your games in upcoming events.

Finding Your Settings

To open your settings, tap your avatar in the top-right corner of any page and select Settings. You can also navigate directly to wr-games.com/users/your-slug/settings from any browser.

Display Name

Your display name appears on event pages, group chats, RSVPs, and your public profile. Choose something other players will recognize — your real name, a familiar username, or a gaming handle works well.

Profile Photo

Upload a photo to put a face to your name. If you’d prefer not to use a photo, you can select from the available avatar options instead. A clear, recognizable image makes it easier for event hosts and fellow players to identify you at the table.

City

Adding your city helps WR-Games surface nearby events in your feed and improves event discovery for other players looking for local game nights. Your city is displayed on your public profile.

Bio

Your bio is a short block of text shown on your public profile. Use it to introduce yourself, mention the kinds of games you love, your experience level, or anything else you’d like fellow players to know.

Profile URL (Slug)

Your profile slug is the custom identifier at the end of your public profile link — for example, wr-games.com/users/your-name. You can change your slug in Settings, but changes are limited.
Your profile URL can be changed, but you have a limited number of changes available. Any previous URLs will automatically redirect to your new one, so existing links and bookmarks won’t break.
A Slug History section in your settings shows all the slugs you’ve used in the past.

BGG Username

Linking your BoardGameGeek (BGG) username connects your BGG collection to WR-Games. Once linked, WR-Games can match the games in your collection against upcoming events so you’re notified when someone is running a game you own or want to play.
Setting your BGG username enables collection sync — you’ll get notified when games from your collection appear in upcoming events in your groups. Make sure your BGG collection is set to public so WR-Games can read it.

BGA Username

Entering your Board Game Arena (BGA) username links your BGA identity to your WR-Games profile. Your BGA username is displayed on your public profile so other members know where to find you for online play.
You can link your accounts on supported social platforms directly from your profile settings. Linked accounts appear on your public profile and give other players additional ways to connect with you outside of WR-Games.
