How BGG Statuses Become Folders
Each BGG status you have games in gets its own folder in WR-Games. Two of them — Want to Play and Wishlist — appear automatically once they have matching games. The other five start hidden and can be shown whenever you need them.| BGG Status | WR-Games Folder | Visible by default |
|---|---|---|
| Owned | All Games (your default library) | Always |
| Want to Play | Want to Play | Yes, when populated |
| Wishlist | Wishlist | Yes, when populated |
| For Trade | For Trade | Hidden |
| Want | Want | Hidden |
| Want to Buy | Want to Buy | Hidden |
| Preordered | Preordered | Hidden |
| Previously Owned | Previously Owned | Hidden |
Owned Games isn’t a separate folder. Your full library is All Games — every game in your collection, regardless of status. The Owned tab is a filtered view showing only games marked as owned from your BGG sync. They’re the same games; one view just narrows the list.
Showing and Hiding Folders
The five less-common folders stay out of your folder bar by default to keep things clean. You can bring any of them in at any time — and tuck them away again just as easily. To show a hidden folder:Click + Additional Folders
A dashed pill appears whenever at least one BGG folder is hidden. Clicking it opens a list of all your hidden folders.
Sync Settings vs Folder Visibility
These are two separate controls that are easy to mix up:- Settings → Integrations → BGG — controls which status categories sync and which games land in each folder
- Collection page → + Additional Folders / Hide folder — controls which folders appear in your bar
Deselecting a BGG status category in Settings stops those games from syncing, and they’ll be removed from that folder on your next re-sync. But the folder itself stays wherever you left it — visible or hidden — until you change it from the Collection page.
Manually Added Games
Games you add from the WR-Games directory live in the same library and folders as your BGG-synced games. A few things work differently:- They land in All Games right away, but without an owned status — they won’t appear in the Owned view until you mark them owned from the game card’s folder menu.
- There’s no badge or label on the card distinguishing a manually added game from a BGG-synced one.
- BGG re-syncs never remove manually added games — sync reconcile only touches games that originally came from BGG.
Auto-Contribute to Groups
If you’ve linked a collection folder to a group with auto-contribute on, games in that folder — both synced and manually added — appear in the group’s library automatically. If you run into a blocked-removal dialog when trying to take a game off a group, see Why Can’t I Remove a Game from My Group?.BGG Sync
Connect your BGG account and choose which statuses to import.
