BG Stats import is currently available to early access users only. If you don’t see the import option, your account may not yet have access.
If you have been logging plays in BG Stats, you can bring your entire history into WR-Games without re-entering anything. The import wizard walks you through matching players, locations, and conflicts before anything is committed.

What You’ll Need

Export a backup file from the BG Stats app on your phone. BG Stats calls this a “backup” or “export” in its Settings screen. It produces a .json file on your device.

How to Import

Open the Import Wizard

Go to Settings → Integrations and click Import from BG Stats.

Export Your Backup File

In the BG Stats app, open Settings and export a backup. Save the .json file somewhere accessible on your device.

Upload the File

Tick the agreement box, then click Choose backup file and pick your .json backup. WR-Games reads it and queues it for processing.

Work Through the Wizard

The wizard walks you through four screens in order:
  • Players: Match player names from your BG Stats data to your WR-Games friends. Names that don’t match become guest entries.
  • Locations: Match your BG Stats location names to WR-Games venues, or mark them as custom locations.
  • Conflicts: Review any plays that overlap with existing entries and decide whether to merge or skip them.
  • Review: See a full summary of everything that will be imported before you commit.

Commit the Import

Click Commit import on the Review screen. Your plays are added to your personal play history immediately.
Re-importing the same BG Stats backup file is safe. WR-Games detects plays it has already seen and skips them. You will not end up with duplicates if you run the import more than once.

Changing Your Mind Mid-Import

Nothing in the wizard reaches your play history until you commit, so you can back out of any part of it. To fix a single match, open the actions menu (⋯) on that row and choose Reset this row. The row goes back to unmatched for this import only, and the match you saved on an earlier import is kept, so next time WR-Games recognises that person again. To fix several rows at once, tick them, open Bulk actions, and choose Reset. To throw out the whole upload, go back to the BG Stats import page. A saved import gives you Resume to pick up where you left off, or Start fresh to clear it and upload a different backup. While an import is actively in progress, that second button reads Cancel import instead, and the same control sits inside the wizard.
Start fresh and Cancel import discard your staged plays and every match you selected on that import, and there’s no undo. Neither one touches plays already in your history, and neither one forgets the matches you saved on earlier imports.

Clearing Your BG Stats Data

Two controls clear what the importer remembers about you. Both live in the Danger zone in Settings → Integrations, just under the import card.
This isn’t the Danger Zone tab further along your settings, which is where you delete your account. The BG Stats controls sit inside Integrations, alongside the BGG ones.

Reset Mappings

Reset mappings forgets who is who: which BG Stats player is which person, which location is which venue or platform, the guest labels you renamed, and the plays you told us to skip. Your next import asks about all of them from scratch. Every play you’ve already imported stays exactly where it is. This one is recoverable: match again on your next import and the memory rebuilds itself.

Wipe BG Stats Data

Wipe BG Stats data does everything Reset mappings does, and removes every play that arrived in WR-Games through a BG Stats import. Plays you logged here yourself stay, and so do your copies of other people’s plays. You type WIPE to confirm before it runs.
Wiping can’t be undone. If you want those plays back afterwards, you’ll need to import your backup again.

Plays You Shared with Other People

Wiping doesn’t pull a shared play out from under the people on it. If you shared an imported play and anyone else is still attached to it, you leave that play rather than deleting it. The play keeps its full roster, and your name stays on it as plain text: it reads Logged by your name, without linking back to your profile. A play nobody else is attached to is deleted with everything else.

Which Control Does What

BGG sync keeps its own Reset and Wipe pair in the same Danger zone, and the two sets are independent: clearing your BG Stats data leaves your BGG collection alone, and resetting BGG sync leaves your imported plays alone.
