If your group meets on a regular schedule — every Thursday, the first Saturday of the month, every other week — Recurring Series lets you set that cadence once and let WR-Games generate each individual event automatically. Rather than duplicating events by hand, you define the pattern and publish a series that takes care of itself.

What a Recurring Series Is

A recurring series is a repeating event schedule that produces individual event pages for each occurrence. Every occurrence is a fully independent event: it has its own event page, its own RSVP list, and its own attendees. Members can RSVP to individual occurrences without committing to the whole series. The series itself has a landing page that displays all upcoming occurrences at a glance so members can plan ahead. Occurrences automatically follow a shared title pattern — for example, “Thursday Game Night #12” — so attendees always know where they are in the series.
Recurring Series requires a Standard or Pro plan. Upgrade your group’s plan in Group Settings → Subscription to unlock this feature.

Creating a Recurring Series

1

Start a new event

From your group dashboard, click Create Event and choose your event type — Open Game Night, Custom Event, or Game Session.
2

Enable Recurring and choose a frequency

In the schedule step, toggle Recurring to on. Select how often the event repeats: weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly.
3

Set an end date or occurrence count

Choose when the series should stop by either picking an end date or specifying the total number of occurrences you want to generate.
4

Review the generated schedule

WR-Games previews every occurrence date based on your settings. Scan the list and confirm the dates look right before you publish.
5

Publish the series

Click Publish Series. WR-Games creates individual event pages for each occurrence and makes your series landing page live.

Editing a Series

When you make a change to an occurrence — updating the description, adjusting the time, changing the venue — WR-Games asks whether you want to:
  • Edit this occurrence only — applies the change to just the selected date, leaving all other occurrences untouched.
  • Edit this and all future occurrences — applies the change to the selected date and every occurrence that comes after it.
This lets you handle one-off adjustments (a holiday venue change, for example) without disrupting the rest of your series.

Cancelling Occurrences

You can cancel individual dates or shut down the entire series from any occurrence page or the series landing page:

Cancel a Single Date

Cancel one occurrence when you need to skip a specific week. Attendees who RSVPd to that date are notified automatically.

Cancel All Remaining Dates

End the series early by cancelling all upcoming occurrences at once. WR-Games notifies all affected attendees in a single action.

The Series Landing Page

Every recurring series has a dedicated landing page that lists all upcoming occurrences in chronological order. Members can browse future dates from one place and RSVP to whichever occurrences work for their schedule. Share the series landing page link with your community to make it easy for members to stay plugged in to your regular game nights.
Use Recurring Series for weekly or monthly game nights instead of duplicating events manually — edits you apply to future occurrences propagate forward automatically, saving you significant administrative time.
