# WR-Games: The Central Hub for Local Board Gaming

> WR-Games connects board gamers with local groups and events, giving players, organizers, and backers the tools they need to build real communities.

WR-Games is a community platform built specifically for board gamers. Whether you're looking for your next game night, running a local group, or trying to get your collection off the shelf and onto a table, WR-Games gives you purpose-built tools to make it happen — not a one-size-fits-all events platform retrofitted for tabletop. Currently in early access with groups in Washington, DC, WR-Games is free to join and open to anyone who loves board games.

## Who WR-Games Is For

WR-Games is designed around three types of users, each with their own dedicated experience:

## What Makes WR-Games Different

A lot of event platforms can host a board game meetup. WR-Games is built to make board game communities actually work.

**Roll Call** fires four hours before any event and asks each attendee whether they're still coming. If someone backs out, their spot is automatically released to the waitlist — no manual follow-up required. You walk into game night knowing exactly who's at the table.

**Trust Score** gives organizers a data-backed signal on how reliably a member shows up. Built from real attendance patterns, it helps you make smarter decisions about approvals and capacity without requiring you to personally track every RSVP.

**BGG Sync** pulls your BoardGameGeek collection directly into WR-Games with automatic folders. You can see who in your group owns what, get notified when a game from your wishlist is featured at an upcoming event, and add your games to a Bringing List so others know what to expect at the table.

**Privacy controls** give organizers three visibility levels — Public, Private, and Hidden — so your group's membership and events are only as visible as you want them to be. Private groups appear in the directory but keep events members-only. Hidden groups are fully siloed and never appear in search results.

## Three Event Types

WR-Games supports three event formats designed to cover everything from focused playthroughs to open community nights:

* **Game Session** — Built around a single title. Pick the game, invite players, and play. Always free to create.
* **Open Game Night** — Open play with multiple games across multiple tables. Ideal for meetups and welcoming new players.
* **Custom Event** — Full control over every detail. Use this for anything that doesn't fit the other formats.
