# Manage Notifications in WR-Games

> Control in-app alerts, email digests, and SMS Roll Call messages — learn how to set up each notification channel and manage categories.

WR-Games keeps you in the loop through three notification channels: in-app, email, and SMS. Each channel serves a different purpose, and you can tune them independently so you get the updates that matter to you without the noise.

## In-App Notifications

In-app notifications are always on and cannot be disabled. The bell icon in the navigation bar shows your unread count. Tap it to view your full notification history.

Notification types delivered in-app include:

* **Roll Call prompts** — sent before an event to confirm you're still attending
* **Event RSVPs** — when someone RSVPs to an event you're hosting
* **Group announcements** — messages from group organizers
* **Event cancellations** — when an event you've RSVP'd to is cancelled
* **Kudos received** — when another player sends you kudos
* **Friend requests** — when someone adds you as a friend
* **Game alerts** — when a favorited game appears in an upcoming event

## Email Notifications

Email notifications are opt-out by default. You can manage all email preferences in **Settings → Notifications**.

### Weekly Digest

A weekly digest email lands in your inbox every Monday morning with a roundup of upcoming events from your groups. You can unsubscribe from the digest without affecting other email notifications.

### Event Notifications

WR-Games sends event-specific emails for RSVPs, cancellations, and Roll Call prompts. These are tied to events you've joined or are hosting.

### Favorite Game Alerts

When a game you've favorited appears on an upcoming event's game list, you can receive an email alert. This is especially useful if you're waiting to play a specific title.

## SMS Notifications

SMS is opt-in and requires a verified phone number. Text messages are reserved for time-sensitive updates like Roll Call prompts, event notifications, and cancellations.

  SMS Roll Call requires a **Standard or Pro plan** organizer for the event. The SMS master toggle must be turned on before any individual SMS category will send.

### Setting Up SMS Notifications

  <Step title="Go to Settings → Account">
    Open your settings and navigate to the **Account** tab.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add and verify your phone number">
    Enter your mobile number and complete the verification step. WR-Games will send a one-time code to confirm your number.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Go to Settings → Privacy">
    Navigate to the **Privacy** tab in your settings.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enable the SMS Notifications master toggle">
    Turn on the **SMS Notifications** master switch. This must be on for any SMS to send.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Toggle individual SMS categories">
    Enable or disable specific categories:

    * **Roll Call** — confirmation prompts before events
    * **Event updates** — schedule changes and organizer messages
    * **Cancellations** — immediate alerts when an event is called off

### Opting Out of SMS

Reply **STOP** to any WR-Games text message to opt out of all product SMS immediately. Reply **START** to resume receiving messages. You can also toggle SMS off at any time in **Settings → Privacy**.
